Investors, how do you feel about $MC.PA and $CDI.PA? I find them to be a great investment, but the price tag is quite high, luxury brands whether clothing, alcohol, etc. will be with us forever and having customers from the 1% richest people in the world has its benefits too. How do you view these stocks? Do you own them?

It's a great business and I would love to include $MC.PA stock in my portfolio, but the stock is currently expensive. Thus, I will wait for some downside.

For me this is a great investment but I have two "buts":

1) one share at $864 is quite a racket for me... I would like a split of maybe 1:4

2) I don't like that it's almost on ATH... I always get a bad feeling from such purchases and I usually end up paying for it :)

Well it's not luxury for the richest, that would be a pretty limited market, but middle class branding status. This is increasing especially in China and will probably start to develop in India as well. Hence the share price. Oh, and that it's Sunday so something for fun.

Isn't India similar to Turkey etc.? That the locals will buy the cheap junk anyway?

Both customers and investors will pay for the brand at this point. I think the price is too high.
